Darcy Lange is a student at Edgewood College located in Madison, Wisconsin and is currently working towards her master’s degree in art therapy. She will be completing her practicum and internship here at Art of Healing, supervised by Dr. Molly Ansari.
As an artist, she believes art shows the beauty of emotional power and another way for us to express our feelings and show the world different points of views others might not have seen before.
She has experience working with the elderly in memory care at Encore Village and working with children and adolescents with Down syndrome and autism at GiGi Playhouse. She is open to working with all ages.
Her interest is in understanding the role of art in processing emotions, such as grief, depression, anxiety as well helping individuals work through various emotions and distress. She believes in creating a safe and an inclusive environment where clients feel valued and supported.
She wants to support others in improving communication, building perspective and gaining understanding/comprehension, reduce the feeling of being lonely by using the work of art, and make their day with a contagious laugh and smile.
Darcy is accepting new clients for art therapy sessions to individuals, couples and families at a reduced fee of $30 per session. To schedule an appointment with Darcy, please contact us by clicking the link below!
